Meet your coach - David Wild
No two lives are the same, yet we may share some common chapters.
Early influences. I entered the workforce in 7th grade. In high school I became a Christian,
and faith has shaped who I am to this day. Working at a trucking company in Memphis I saved enough
money to spend 3 summers in Colorado - a dream! Being married and a dad has been a blessing.
Choosing to live on one income for 9 years so my wife could stay home was one of the best decisions we made.
Our lifestyle expectations had to be adjusted continuously because of the one income. Things were so tight we
debated whether to continue contribute to the 401k match, and how much to spend on local vacations.
I had to take a 2nd job to pay for a car transmission - we did not have newer cars.
I owed a rental house for twenty years - additional income and headaches.
In time we began to travel to various parts of the world. When the children were young,
we took two dream vacations out west, exposing them to a variety of life styles, as we traveled simply.
In 2011 I became a part time financial advisor, obtaining my life insurance and annuity license.
I was most excited about educating the public about personal finance and investing.
Then I was promoted in the corporate world, and burned many hours in the new job for over 8 years.
I left the corporate world taking an early retirement package to pursue other opportunities.
I traveled, caught up on projects, fostered children, and served the community in a variety
of ways - including learning to drive a 28’ truck for the local foodbank. I had five interviews
with a national brand to become a financial advisor, and then COVID hit.
I decided to start a personal finance coaching practice for several reasons. Fundamentally, if we have
our personal finances in order we have far more options in life - we can live by our values, goals, and dreams.
The younger you apply solid principles in life, the more beneficial they are. You have freedom to pursue life
as you see it. Many people get trapped in debt - for whatever thing they value in the moment. They don’t
have a plan, and they don’t slow down to figure things out, including seeking wisdom from good sources.
If you have tried various attempts, and still cann’t seem to get ahead financially, perhaps a personal finance
coach can help you make progress toward your values, goals and dream. Would you like change your
situation, plan for a better future? Willingness to change and discipline are required. Schedule an
initial consultation. If there is a likelihood I can help, let the coaching begin!
